Flat Roofing Systems

Seamless GRP fiberglass, flexible EPDM single-ply rubber, and heavy-duty felt options for modern extensions, dormers, and garages.

High-Performance Waterproofing Solutions

Flat roofs require precise execution. Without a natural pitch to shed water quickly, flat roofs depend entirely on the quality of their material bonds, fall levels, and detailing around outlets, abutments, and rooflights. At Oakdene Roofing, we design and install systems that prevent pooling water and stay entirely watertight for over 30 years.

We work with all three primary modern flat roof types, enabling us to recommend the ideal product for your specific budget, building usage, and load-bearing requirements.

20+ Year Guarantees

All our flat roofs come with extensive material warranties.

Flat Roofing Options

GRP Fiberglass Roofing

An incredibly tough, impact-resistant liquid-applied resin system reinforced with chopped strand glass fibers, finished with a dark grey UV-resistant topcoat.

BEST FOR: Balconies, walkways, or roofs subject to light foot traffic.

EPDM Rubber Single-Ply

A synthetic rubber membrane that is laid in single large sheets, avoiding seams. It is highly elastic, moves with the building, and is completely unaffected by extreme temperatures and UV radiation.

BEST FOR: Garage roofs, extensions, and warm-roof conversions.

High-Performance Built-Up Felt

A modern take on the traditional felt roof. Utilizing three layers of high-tensile polyester-reinforced elastomeric bitumen felt, either torched-on or bonded using cold adhesives.

BEST FOR: Cost-effective large projects, outbuildings, and traditional designs.

Warm Roof vs Cold Roof Configurations

If you are replacing your flat roof, it is the perfect time to review its thermal insulation. A Warm Roof has rigid insulation boards installed on top of the timber deck, keeping the timber structural members warm and eliminating interstitial condensation. A Cold Roof places insulation between the rafters, requiring adequate ventilation gaps above to prevent condensation rot. We will design the perfect ventilation system to protect your timber.
